The build took six months and included full scale rebuild and redesign of the house to expand living spaces and adding both form and function through individually designed and crafted joinery. The concrete floor tiles provide softness through their calming grey tone yet maintain a sexy masculinity in their rough texture, working beautifully with the walnut carpentry and statement Calcutta marble bench top. The exposed red brickwork of the kitchen splashback add a charming, rugged element to the open living space, this element being carried up through the rest of the house through its use on the stairwell to the upper levels.
