KEEDAH was invited to create a fresh and open environment for Coogee Trade Cafe to facilitate breakfast, lunch, dinner and wine for the steady flow of locals in the cooler months and the huge wave of customers that flood the sunny beach location of Coogee in the warmer months. Coming from the world renowned Café Sydney, long term Coogee local and Executive Chef, Matt Bates wanted the space to reflect his passion for creating seasonal dishes with a modern twist.
KEEDAH did a refurbishment fit-out of Coogee Trade including their vibing bar and barista station as well as tables, walls and the fabulous floating shelves for their local and ethically sourced produce and wines. The project was finished in under two months.
This British-India, Boho Chic inspired vibe is described by locals as “an inviting slice of heaven to visit any time of day”. The verdant fronds of the palm and fern wall paper, splashes of sea glass green on the bar and back wall, bright white skirting, funky wicker pendants, glints of gold and sandy elm wood elements all reflect the happy beachy vibes of chilled-out Coogee which promote great service, adventurous food and satisfied customers.
